SME: The Avaya IP Office PABX is designed specifically for the smaller business, providing up to 1000 users and delivers the same communication capabilities of large enterprises. This solution unifies communications, providing employees with a solution that allows them to handle all their business communication on the device of their choice: laptop, mobile device, office or home phone – using wired, wireless or broadband connections.

Some of the IP Office features include being able to network up to 32 sites, allow for 128 party conferencing, voicemail, multiple call support, telephone management system, menu driving tools including audit trail, auto call distribution to customised routes and voice recording and caller ID.

Enterprise: Avaya’s Aura offering is a best of breed enterprise solution which supports unified communications and call centre solutions. It reduces infrastructure costs, is easy to integrate and enables fast deployment of voice, video and messaging.

Some of the Aura features include simple per user licensing, it enables SIP-based session management, Find me Follow me administration, provides access to LDAP and personal contacts.

Network Access Protection

Permissions based access that give peace of mind with Network Access Protection NAP is a solution that controls access to the network based on a user’s identity. NAP allows you to create permissions based on who the user is and how they comply with the company compliance rules. For instance, if a user does not have or has an out of date antivirus programme, and therefore poses a risk to the network, that user will be barred from entering the network or provided with a mechanism to automatically bring the client back into compliance by updating software etc.

Depending on the rules set up, noncompliant users can be quarantined or automatically updated so that the user can regain access to the network without the IT department’s intervention.
